Boeing Defense & Space Engineering Manager

Your responsibilities
- Developing project plans, directing all project phases, and acting as primary customer contact for project activities
- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Implementing policies and procedures and setting operational goals
- Acquiring resources for projects and processes coordinating the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serving as a liaison between project and team, finance, sourcing, and scheduling
- Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Managing via project deliverables, all technical and functional staff assigned to the project
- Using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) to develop a robust operating and reporting rhythm for programs to ensure a successful outcome
- Identifying and managing actively opportunities, risks, and issues to ensure effective resolution or mitigation, and coord
- inating required activities to ensure successful delivery
- Delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and the associated critical path(s)
- Planning, scheduling and managing project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Tracking and reporting project status relative to the approved business case and scope, with transparency and insight into the overall health of the project
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Determining the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzing results and investigating problem areas
- Proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans
- Defining project success criteria and disseminating them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
- Effectively running project meetings from project kick-off to post-implementation review ensuring all stakeholders meet their responsibilities
- Providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Managing, developing, and motivating employees (including contractors)
- Maintaining, developing, and supporting relations with Institute of Aviation, helping Warsaw site leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Upper Intermediate English
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace and/or engineering
- 2+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
- Extensive Project Management experience
- Highly competent in using MS Office products in general
Optional
- 2+ years of experience with mechanical design engineering and/or structural capability assessment
- 2+ years of experience with working military projects
- 2+ years of experience in technical leadership

Structural Analysis Engineer
Your responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis of aircraft structures (airframe: wing and fuselage). Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, static and fatigue analyses.
- Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations.
- Generate documentation (stress check notes) to report analysis results to support certification and qualification processes.
- Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Develop repairs for airframe elements.
- Work with regulatory framework (FAA) for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
- Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
- Technical rigor and focus on excellence.
- Plans, performs and leads detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance).
- Develops new materials, methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.
- Leads a team of stress analysts and provide coaching across all levels.
- Works under minimal direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 5+ years work experience in structural analysis engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints and structural analysis methods.
- Strong knowledge of strength of materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structure design philosophy.
- Experience in structural analysis of metallic or composite airframe structures.
- Experience in static and fatigue analyses.
- Solid communicator, Upper-intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English.
- Readiness to work with multi-functional team in a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays support, overtime, shifted work schedule) to meet the business needs.
- Readiness for business trips – up to 25% of working time.
Optional
- Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.
- Proven experience in structures engineering.
- Experience in leading a team of stress analysts.
- Knowledge of Boeing aircraft structures.
- Knowledge of finite element method approach.
- Experience in FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 25 & 26).
- Experience in CAD/CAE systems (Catia, Nastran/ Patran).
